3.11.10  |  news

In the last few days I was happy to get the good news that two of my images won first place in the Wedding Photojournalist Association's (WJPA) most recent contest.

First up, from the "Details (found)" category... a shot captured before Ben and Jennee's nuptials (big blog post on their wedding coming soon)... Love these shoes!!!...

JUDGES COMMENTS: Excellent image with strong design and color. This is an image which twenty other folks could have easily walked by without seeing this. Great job.

JUDGES COMMENTS: This detail, with just the right touch of red, is elegant and sophisticated.

JUDGES COMMENTS: Great seeing by the photographer - loved the red!

And, second, from the "Bouquet/Garter (action)" category... this one cracked me up when it happened and still does. :) It was captured during the bouquet toss at Christy and Binh's wedding. (another blog post coming soon!)

JUDGES COMMENTS: Highly unusual of a guest crashing to the floor and was technically great.

JUDGES COMMENTS: Peak action flower toss. Very funny and again well done.

JUDGES COMMENTS: We've all been to a wedding where someone makes a diving leap for the bouquet, but this is an exceptional photo of the attempt; terrific moment and body language.

Matt, big brother Ethan and I are proud to announce the arrival of the newest little Moser.

Riley Dyan Moser

Here's a picture of our beautiful baby girl in one of her first moments out in the big, big world. Check out that dimple!... just one. :)

Proud parents "hanging out" before the little lady arrived. It was a pleasantly short and, except for the wonderful conclusion, very uneventful labor and delivery.

Meet big brother... Ethan couldn't stop saying "baby" and pointing out all of her parts. He was very excited.

I love our boy.

Ry's first close-up.

Ry and daddy at home sharing a moment. ( I just love that guy sooooo much. I'm so lucky. He's such a great daddy.)

So I'll be checking emails , inquiries, etc. but not as quickly as usual. :) Please don't hesitate to send an email and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. I'm still booking weddings right now so don't let our new arrival stop you if you're interested in booking. Meanwhile, thanks for your patience while the family adjusts and gets acquainted with one another. :)

2.9.10  |  weddings

Here's a sneak peek for one of the funnest couples I've had the pleasure of shooting. Olivia had me in stitches almost the whole day. And, what's more... I hadn't officially met them in person until that day and it felt like I'd known them forever. Congratulations you two... I can't wait to share more pictures of your wedding with you!

Here's what I look like while taking the shot above.
By the way, this was my last wedding before I deliver the newest addition to our family. I was almost 36 weeks pregnant here. Yeah... I've still got it... move over belly... I need to get the shot! ;) He, he, he... ;) (Thanks for capturing this old body in action, Daniel!)

2.5.10  |  weddings

What a fun wedding... including a surprise cha cha dance (complete with costume) in the middle of the reception by the bride and groom. The wedding took place at St James Catholic Church in Redondo Beach with the reception held at Occasions in El Segundo. I can't wait to share more!

Congrats Cheryl and Ryan (and... THANK YOU... SOOOOOO MUCH!!! Seriously.)
