A Few Words Before Proceeding... On Boston... On Yesterday

04.16.13

Before posting some of my work this morning, I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the sadness and shock that was felt yesterday in Boston, in hearts and minds around the country, and by me as I first heard the news while spending time with my family.

Our hearts and prayers are with those in Boston, both directly and indirectly affected by this horrible event. Words can really do no justice.

Still, separately, I take solace in the fact that there is kindness and beauty in the world and that they outshine the darkness. Love overwhelms hate. I strive to capture that beauty and the shades of that lightness and, even in a very small way, I hope that will help to make the world a better place.

Hello 2013! We are going to be friends.

01.10.13

Happy 2013! I hope that the expanse of the new year ahead of you has opened your eyes to all the possibilities that are all around you. I know my eyes are being opened and my view of the world around me renewed every single day.

Expect to see some blog posts coming soon. Some technological challenges are (I believe) about to be wrapped up shortly and will allow me to once again share the way I see things with all of you. Until then... here is an image of the wide expanse that lay before us on our family vacation to the Grand Canyon over the holidays.

This is a beautiful world we live in.

Back to and FIRST day of school!

09.05.12

Today marked our little lady's first day of preschool and our little guy's first day back to (his last year of) preschool.

It's so exciting to watch them grow and become more and more themselves. There was no drama... nobody cried or even gave me extra big hugs when I left... instead, they just went off and busied themselves in the excitement of new things, people, ideas and who knows what other new adventures. For me, it's alternatively bittersweet and heartwarming. More than anything I'm glad they have each other and that I get to watch them grow on their journey.

Happy Back-to-School!

Happy Moser Faces {E + Ry}

05.29.12

I hope you all had a great Memorial Day weekend. :) Cheers to a great week.

Here are a few smiles from our little ones... full watermelon/sprinkler soaked post coming soon.

xo

Happy Tuesday!

She's getting so big.

Never (and I mean never) without his mask. (Just imagine somebody barreling down the hallway towards the bathroom at 2:00 AM... as "Spid-E".

Best. Day. Ever.

Our Kids. They're Getting So Big.

02.16.12

To say that our kids are getting big and that time is rapidly passing us by is, of course, an understatement. And, even though I'm a photographer I don't take nearly enough pictures of my children. I hear it all the time... the shoemaker's children have no shoes... it's the same here. The last time that we took what I consider "good" (somewhat purposeful where they're not in their pajamas) photographs of the kids was exactly a year ago from the date these photos were taken. Crazy. Seriously. Crazy. That's why it was SOOOO important to me that these photos be taken on this particular day. Because, I could not go MORE than a year without taking some more "good" ones of these kids that just seem to sprout and change daily.

I make a living taking pictures for my clients, documenting their lives, and capturing those fleeting moments. There's nothing more fleeting than youth... especially when it's your children's youth. One of this year's priorities is to do as I say... get family pictures made (that will include me, their mom, the photographer... shock... I know... some day my children will wonder who their mother was and why she was never in any of their pictures. Oh... that's right she was the one taking them). This particular session finds me behind the camera but I made a promise to myself that we'll all be in some... just you wait.

Until then, please join E (almost 4- a budding pirate, builder and explorer) and Ry (almost 2- a lady ready to take on the world (and the sand one grain at a time)) on a winter morning at the beach.

Final note to my readers... TAKE MORE PICTURES of those you love.... and from time to time... make sure you're in some of them. ;)

Yes... that's an earring... a pirate earring.

The boys.

Miss Independent.

Love her (and that scrunched up nose).

Some of my favorite pictures of Ethan... ever. I just adore this kid.

The really love each other sooooo much.

She's such a happy girl. So full of joy.
