This vintage art deco wedding was featured on the Ruffled Blog today! My super creative clients, Julian (a writer/director) and Summer (a Hollywood costume designer) along with the AMAZING Amber (queen of fabulosity) of Amber Events created a true spectacle at Cicada Restaurant in Los Angeles. This session took place quite a long time ago but it is finally making its way to the blog. Their fine art book is a wrap and being printed now and I can't wait to see it. Until I get it in my hands... this blog post will have to suffice.

I love my clients. That goes without saying. These ones are awfully special though. Always smiling, so real and fun (and funny), and stinkin' adorable, too. (Right?) They were referred by a past bride (Megan) and I've been able to document their budding family from their pregnancy session, to their newborn pictures (and custom framed newborn fine art prints) and now their family/one-year pictures. I can't believe how big Bella is... and so adorable. I'm thinking she's coming up on two soon... looking forward to seeing this lovely family again soon... maybe a play date is in our future. ;)

This was an extended session... we started with documentary of getting ready (read: a fun bath in the sink) at home... then we headed over to the boardwalk/pier in Santa Monica... and finally we closed it all out with a smash the cake session back at their house. Such a fun day!

I had so much fun shooting the Erin Cole Couture Bridal Runway Show at the big Locale Magazine event last week. It took place at one of my favorite venues, Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach. And, as per usual, Erin did not disappoint. The show was a winter wonderland full of incredible dresses and accessories with some beautiful ladies on hand to show them off. Take a peak below and, if you're on the hunt for the perfect wedding gown or accessory look no further than Erin's boutique in Costa Mesa. (It's where I found my dress... oh so long ago). ;)
