Kat's all grown up and she's just too beautiful for words.
This is Kat's fifth Dance Passion Session... five years of documenting her growth, the progression of her dance, and her development as an artist. For this session, we decided to head outside into some urban environments. From the underside of an overpass, to the space beneath a bridge (filled with pigeons who would suddenly fly out in huge groups every now and then), to an old brick wall, to a cool building, and finally ending up at the train tracks...
Kat transitioned seamlessly from contemporary to ballet and then to a mix of the two. We decided to include her (extraordinarily talented) friends in a few of the pictures I made, as well.
As a dancer myself, I can't even express what a joy it is to make these pictures and to work with passionate artists like Kat. I can't wait for what is to come.
