Merry "belated" Christmas everyone. :)

I hope this "lull" week between Christmas and New Years is bringing you some needed down time, an awakening, some introspection and clarity, and some time with those you love. I've been able to enjoy these this past week and look forward to more events with friends in the latter part of this vacation week, as well. In addition to spending time with others I hope you get to enjoy some time by yourself. Just you. The sun. The fresh air. And your thoughts. Filter out the Noise and find the Signal.

Expect a New Year's post next week with some thoughts on the coming year and a look back on the last one. Expect also to see some of the amazing, spectacular people that I shot over the last year who never quite made it to the blog. There's so much to share!

If you know me or follow me on this blog or Facebook, then you know that the McKenna Claire Foundation is close to my heart. (For more on McKenna's story, visit http://mackyshines.org.) A few weeks ago, I was able to document a very special moment for the Foundation, her family, her friends, and her school.

During Eader Elementary's morning assembly on November 18, 50 ukeleles were gifted to the school's music program on McKenna's behalf from her parents and the McKenna Claire Foundation. Her music teacher, sister and friends played a song on their ukeleles written just for McKenna in front of the entire school. It was emotional, touching and beautiful.

Enjoy a few of my favorite portraits from Shannon and Ernie's A-MAZING wedding at Marvimon. I'm working on the whole bunch and I can't wait to share.
