Baby Ellison is a beauty. (I'm setting her up with Ethan already.) ;) And, her parents aren't half bad either. ;) (Love you guys!)

I love shooting senior portrait sessions... and I'm hoping that next year I get to shoot some more. This is generalizing but they are at such an amazing and exciting point in their lives. Marcheta is no exception... but she is exceptional! Seriously! She was one of the sweetest, most down to earth "kids" I've ever met and she'll be heading to Stanford in the fall.

Marcheta, her mom (what a great lady btw), and I had a spectacular time together trekking all around Huntington Beach. Marcheta used a few of these shots for her custom graduation announcement which I designed and had printed for her. Her reaction after receiving her announcements... "AHHHH!!! I just got my announcements! AMAZING...! Thank you so much!"

(On a bummer note... this was the session where I lost my wedding ring (the engagement one... ya know... the more expensive one... oh well... still hoping that I'll find it... fingers crossed.) ;)

I recently had the honor of capturing the Palmer family and their new little guy, Anderson. He was only a few weeks old and he was just so C-U-T-E!

I tend to get a little mushy now and then when it comes to capturing these important times in my clients' lives and this day was no different... especially because the Palmers are more than my clients but also dear friends. That morning before we started, I began with a few words that I normally start my sessions with and I just started crying... (ok... I don't do this every time! Don't worry!). I told them how important this was... to capture this moment in their lives... they would go through so much in the coming year(s) and this moment would soon whiz past them... never to be here again.

Every time that I look at my newborn portraits of Ethan or the family pictures that were taken of us I'm just so thankful that we took the time out to freeze time and had such fantastic photographers to do the "freezing" (Thank you Daniel and Amy).

If you think time whizzes past... I encourage you to freeze a slice of it, too. But, I digress... on to Baby Anderson and the official first portraits of the Palmer family.

I had a great day with the Gray boys. This was one of the few "serious" portraits of the day (they were both cracking me up most of the time) but I really like it. More to come...
