Sooooo fun... that's what these two were when we shot their engagement session. Per my request, they even brought a chair to their session. And, what's more... they brought beef jerky, tasty drinks, sun chips, and lots more... now that's what I'm talking about! You know the way to my heart is through my stomach. And, after we were all done, we headed over (along with Ethan and Matt) to my favorite Mexican restaurant for dinner. What a fun time!
You might recall Lyndsy and Elon's recent wedding (also SOOO much fun!). Well, these two were referred to me by the lovely Lyndsy and I'm so happy they chose me to shoot their wedding. It's coming up at the end of September at the very beautiful Rancho Valencia. I can't wait!
Another fun fact... Shelby is blogging all about her wedding planning experience over at the very cool Exquisite Weddings Magazine
website. You can check it out here.
I hope you enjoy your pictures, you two. I think they look like you should be in a Banana Republic ad... see for yourselves...

Here's that chair... loved the red!

In front of what was Noel's dorm room...

What a handsome couple...

This is the dorm building where they both stayed later in their college years...

I wonder if they ever thought they'd be taking pictures here when they used to roam the halls... no less for their engagement pics...

A spot near the circle that's close to their hearts...

A nice gentleman from the bar who wanted to be in a pic or two with our happy couple... We sent him back inside to finish off his pint or whatever libation he was partaking in...

The saw each other for the first time right in front of the "First Kiss" roses... how appropriate. ;)

A fellow yogi, Marissa fit perfectly into her beautiful dress. I loved her veil.

Some incredible ceremony details...

Some reception details...

This one is in the collage above but I had to give it is own spot...

Same with this one... what a beautiful cake.

Check out this arrangement on the head table. Wow!

A beautiful first dance...

Jason's sister... after the toast...

Yep... guys... somebody has to pick it up... I know you didn't catch it... but come on now... ;)

This one was taken by my good friend and second photographer at this wedding, Daniel Chin... what a beautiful shot of the pool at night.

Insert the happy couple... a little later in the evening...

And, last but not least... the rings.

The incredible duo of Hong and Martin flew out recently (... all the way from Virginia!) for their e-session. And, boy... did we have a BLAST! These two are getting married on August 1st at the wonderful MOLAA in Long Beach. Their wedding is going to be anything but traditional... no garter or bouquet with this couple... but other surprises will ensue!
These two could just hang out forever with each other kidding around, dancing, playing lemme-try-and-slap-your-hands, drinking tea and boba, laughing, doing matrix moves, break dancing... yada yada.. you get the picture. Needless to say... they didn't need me to direct much... for the most part, I just let them be and they shined on through.
Hong and Martin- Thanks to both of you... I had such a great time and can't wait for your wedding. Please enjoy some of my favorites from your session below!!!
BTW- On another note... I was so pleasantly surprised when Hong told me that their photo gift registry is the only wedding registry that they have been referring guests to... wow (pressure!) ;) ... these two are just too good to be true!

Some break dancing... the Hong and Martin wave...

And a hitch kick for good measure...

lemme-slap-your-hands and boba... I think Hong won... ;)

OK... don't you just love these two!?!?! I know it's a little creepy and strange... but I love it!!! HA!

CHIN-TOWNLAND... apparently the "A" went missing at some point... that didn't stop us from commemorating the day in front of CHIN-TOWNLAND anyways. It's like the Hollywood sign only... better? Well... it's a little like the Hollywood sign but missing a letter and a little more accessible... how's that...? ;)

Down in LA'S Fashion District for a few shots...

It smelled a little funky in this area... nothing like the smell of alley ways and parking lots in LA... you know what I'm talking about...

And, finally just the two of them in this great big world.
